Pathologic examination of all hematolymphoid tissue specimens is performed including peripheral blood smear evaluation, bone marrow examination and diagnostic interpretation of lymph node and spleen specimens. Peripheral smear evaluation includes recommendations for additional laboratory testing of patients with morphologic and quantitative peripheral blood abnormalities. Ancillary testing is offered through our reference laboratory partners including flow cytometry, cytogenetic/FISH and molecular testing with correlation of findings to the morphologic features in the form of a final diagnosis.
